Jardín Alado is Ecuador’s only sanctuary where endangered birds are healed, protected, and given a second chance to fly.
Jardín Alado is a wildlife rehabilitation center on Quito, Ecuador. Led by biologist Paúl Tufiño, it gives injured animals, especially birds of prey, a second chance at freedom.
This rehabilitation center cares for wild animals that have lost their freedom. We help them heal, regain strength, and, when possible, return to the wild where they belong.
Saving birds means rescuing lives and inspiring awareness. Each one carries a story of resilience, and each recovery reminds us of the delicate balance between humans and nature. Many arrive injured or displaced due to human actions. What we do is restore what was taken, and offer a second chance.
This is also a place where people reconnect with nature, learn about the species we protect, and witness how conservation transforms lives. Every visit supports real recovery. Every donation helps rewrite the story of an animal that deserves more. If you believe in protecting biodiversity and making a lasting impact, this is where it begins.
